دُشّنت كنيسة سيّدة النجاة-القصيبة في عيد السيّدة سنة ١٨٨٣ بسعي وهمّة الخوري بطرس زيدان. تحتوي هذه الكنيسة على ثلاثة رسومات قيّمة لشفيعة الرعيّة (رسم داود القرم، ١٨٩٤) عليها كتابة: "من وجدني وجد الحياة ونال مرضاة الربّ" (أمثال ٨ /٣٥)، ومار مارون (رسم حبيب سرور، ١٩٢٣)، ومار بطرس(رسم جرجس عبدالله أبو جودة، ١٩١١).من الملفت وجود عين العناية الإلهية على بيت القربان، رمزًا قّل استخدامه بعد منتصف القرن التاسع عشر في الفن المسيحي بعدما أخذ دلالةً ماسونيّةً.رُمّمت الكنيسة في القرن الماضي وأُعيد تدشينها وتكريس المذبح الجديد في عيد السيّدة سنة ١٩٧٤.Our Lady of Deliverance Church QsaybehThe church was consecrated on the feast of Assumption of Mary year 1883 with the efforts of Father Boutros Zeidan. Three main paintings are hung in the three apses. On the main apse, stands that of the Assumption of the Lady, painted by Dawoud El Qorm in year 1894, with the verse :"For whoever finds me finds life, and wins favor from the Lord" (Proverbs 8: 35) written below the virgin. On the side apses, one can find a painting that depicts Saint Maroun drawn by Habib Srour in 1923, and another one depicting Saint Peter, a work by Gerges Abdallah Abou Jaoudeh, year 1911.What is remarkable is the presence of the Eye of Providence on the tabernacle, a symbol that was rarely used after the mid 19th century in Christian art for its relation with the Masonry.The Church was renovated in the past century, and the Altar was reconsecrated on the feast of the Assumption of the Lady year 1974.

كنيسة مار بطرس - عبدين

بدأ بناء الكنيسة بسعي الخوري مخايل العلم وبمساعدة إخوته، حوالي سنة ١٨٩٣، وكان الفراغ من البناء سنة ١٩٠٠ كما ورد في محضر الزيارة الرعائيّة لجبّة بشرّي. نُقش الشعر على مدخلها سنة ١٩٢٣. في الكنيسة لوحة لمار بطرس من عمل جوزيف العلم تعود الى سنة ٢٠٠٥.

The church of St Peter - Abdyn

The church was built by the aid of Fr Michael El Alam with the help of his brothers in 1893. It was achieved in 1900 according to the pastoral visit record of Bcharre’s area in the same year. A poem was engraved on the frontal portico in 1923. The church holds a painting of St Peter by Joseph El Alam dating back to 2005.

دير سيّدة قنّوبين - قنّوبين

هو من أهمّ وأقدم الأديار الأثريَّة في الوادي المقدّس. كان الكرسيّ البطريركيّ للكنيسة المارونيَّة من القرن الخامس عشر حتَّى القرن التاسع عشر. أعطى اسمه لجزء من وادي قاديشا أي وادي قنّوبين، ومعناه من اليونانيّة الشركة.
بحسب تقليد الكنيسة المارونيَّة، أسَّس هذا الدير تاودوسيوس الكبَّادوكيّ، في القرن السادس. أمَّا تقليد الكنيسة السريانيَّة الأرثوذكسيَّة فيذكر أنَّ الإمبراطور تاودوسيوس الأوَّل، في القرن الرابع، بنى كنيسة سيِّدة قنُّوبين. هذان التقليدان ليسا إلاَّ إثباتًا على قِدَم الدير وأهمِّيَّته بالنسبة إلى تاريخ الكنيسة في لبنان. يذكر التقليد أن القدّيسة مارينا سكنته وماتت ودفنت في المغارة المجاورة. إنتقل إليه البطريرك يوحنّا الجاجيّ على إثر تنكيل والي طرابلس بالموارنة. فأصبح مقرًّا بطريركيًّا.
جداريّات الكنيسة الأساسيّة مرسومة على عدّة مراحل من القرن العاشر وصاعدًا. جداريّات المذابح: الشفاعة، مار يوسف ومار دانيال، وجداريّة تكليل السيّدة هي من عمل الراهب اللبنانيّ بطرس القبرصيّ.

The monastery of our Lady of Qannoubin - Qannoubin

The monastery is one of the most important religious sites for the Maronite church. Two traditions narrate its history both attesting the great history behind it: the Maronite tradition dates it back to the VIth century with Theodosius the Cappadocien. The Syriac tradition dates it back to the IVth century when the Byzantine emperor Theodosius the first built a church dedicated for the Madonna in Qannoubin.
The frescoes of the main church were done layer over layer starting the Xth century up until the XVIth century when Boutros el Qobersy the Lebanese monk painted the three apses frescoes: the Deisis, St Joseph and St Daniel, and the frescoe of the coronation of the Virgin.

كابيلا سيّدة الآلام - بزمّار

في القرن السادس عشر زار البطريرك ارزيفيان روما والتقى البابا بنديكتوس الرابع عشر، وأهداه أحد الكرادلة لوحة لسيّدة الآلام، منسوبة لمدرسة رافاييل تعود لرافاييل سانزيو أو الى غيراريو بار بيري. في رحلة العودة تعرّضت السفينة لخطر الغرق فرُميت اللوحة في البحر ووُجدت تطفو على المياه بشكلٍ عجائبيّ. بعد هذه الحادثة وُضعت اللوحة في كنيسة الدّير فوق العرش البطريركيّ.
عام ١٨٠٢ ضربت الصاعقة الكنيسة، وسقطت على العرش البطريركيّ حيث كانت صورة العذراء، من دون الحاق الضرر بالعرش، ولا باللوحة، فبُنيت على إثر المعجزة كابيلا صغيرة ملاصقة للدّير وهي مزار للمؤمنين طالبين نِعم سيّدة الآلام. زارها قداسة البابا بنديكتوس السادس عشر سنة ٢٠١٢.

The chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows - Bzommar

In the XVIth century, the Armenian Patriarch Arzivian visited Rome and met pope Benedict XIV. He was gifted an icon of our Lady of Sorrows from an Italian cardinal. The painting is from Raphael’s school and is attributed to Raphael Sanzio or Gerario Parperi. On the way back the ship was in danger of shipwreck, and the painting was thrown in the sea with other furniture. It was rediscovered miraculously floating several days later. After the incident it was put over the patriarchal chair in the main church of Bzommar.
In 1802 a lighting bolt hit the throne and the painting fell down, yet even the glass that was on it was miraculously preserved. A chapel adjacent to the monastery was erected to enshrine the miraculous icon. The chapel was visited by pope Benedict XVI in 2012.
